Amanda Comegys, PA-C
Amanda Comegys joined OSMC in July of 2014 as a Physician Assistant to Dr. Cyrus Lashgari and Dr. Alexander Shushan, orthopedic surgeons whom specialize in the care of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Amanda received her undergraduate degree in 2006 from Salisbury University in Respiratory Therapy. She then worked at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in the ICU and ER assisting in the management of pediatric and adult patients. In 2009, Amanda completed her Physician Assistant training at Anne Arundel Community College and earned her Master’s of Science from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. Amanda has worked for the last 5 years at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital as an Inpatient Orthopedic Initiatives Physician Assistant where she assisted in taking care of total joint, spine, and fracture patients. While at Good Sam she also helped in the implementation of new protocols to help streamline care for patients with Sickle Cell Disease and assisted in teaching hospital staff about the surgical procedures being performed by the Spine Surgeons.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dog. She is a local; growing up and now living back in Severna Park where she stays active running and kayaking.SpecialtiesHand and Wrist
