Gary Horsmon, PA-C, ATC
Gary Horsmon joined the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centers’ as a Physician Assistant to Orthopedic Surgeons Dr. Ben Petre and Dr. Dan Redziniak, who specialize in the care of sports medicine injuries and conditions. Gary received is undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Towson University in 1982, followed by his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University in 1984. He has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1982, practicing at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Gary was involved in the coordination, development, and instruction of Athletic Training academic curriculums at the undergraduate and graduate levels, which concentrates on healthcare to athletes and their physically active in all settings. In the 13 years prior to entering Physician Assistant School in 2004, he served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Johns Hopkins University, Department of Athletics. Gary graduated with his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2006 from Towson University. He began his PA career with the Johns Hopkins University Department of Orthopedics, Division of Sports Medicine from 2006 to 2014. Gary’s Athletic Training background has given him extensive experience in the education, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and conditions. He has been, and continues to be a frequent speaker at Sports Medicine conferences.
Gary has become an avid runner and he enjoys competing in half-marathons. He spends his free time with his family and dogs enjoying a variety of outdoor activities.
