Aneesh Goel, MD
Dr. Goel is double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he received the American Pain Society (APS) Young Investigator Award for his research involving epidural steroid injections. He then completed residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital.
During his time at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Goel authored several publications, abstracts, and a book chapter, and has presented his research at multiple distinguished institutions and professional conferences. He is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Spine Intervention Society, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Goel specializes in treating many chronic pain conditions including chronic low back and neck pain, postsurgical pain, complex regional pain syndrome, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, radicular pain, headaches, pain after shingles, and cancer pain. He utilizes a multimodal approach to treating patients with evidence-based therapy including interventional procedures, medication management, and physical therapy to reduce pain and improve daily function and quality of life.
Dr. Goel lives in Baltimore with his wife, son, and 7 lb poodle. He loves to travel, hike, and spend time with his family.
