DaShaun McNeely, PA-C
DaShaun T. McNeely joined Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Specialists in 2016 as a Physician Assistant to Dr. Alexander Shushan, orthopaedic surgeon, who specializes in the care of the hand, wrist, and elbow. He received his undergraduate degree and Physician Assistant training from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Prior to joining the practice, DaShaun worked for the Curtis National Hand Center at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital for 5 years, where he received specialized training in the care of traumatic injuries to the hand and upper extremity. He was first on-call for hand trauma in the ER, and provided perioperative care for inpatients with acute upper extremity injuries throughout his time at Union Memorial Hospital.
In his spare time, DaShaun enjoys watching football, playing video games, and spending time with his friends and family. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and has competed in various step show competitions.
DaShaun works closely with Dr. Shushan, where he assist with new patient consultations, as well as follow-up and post-operative evaluations. DaShaun also administers various injections in the office and provides assistance during surgical cases.
