Eric Crapster, PA-C

Eric Crapster joined our team in 2013 as a Physician Assistant to orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Jeffery Gelfand, who specializes in the care of the hand and upper extremities.

Eric received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Salisbury University.  While at Salisbury University, Eric was center for the football team, was honored as a scholar athlete, and was a recipient of the Bobby Richards Memorial Award.  He then earned his Physician Assistant degree from Cuyahoga Community College. Eric trained at the Cleveland Clinic where he had rotations in hand surgery as well as plastic surgery.

After graduating from PA school, Eric worked at Kernan Orthopedic Hospital, where he learned a vast amount about orthopaedic surgery and care. Kernan provided orthopaedic care for the Baltimore Ravens and The University of Maryland Terrapins. In addition to Kernan hospital, he has worked for the Maryland Spine Center at Mercy Medical Center and Antoniades Spine at Upper Chesapeake Hospital. Since 2002, Eric has dedicated himself to working in orthopaedics; with more than 7 of those years working in orthopaedic spine surgery and care. Since 2004, Eric has been providing medical care in an urgent care facility to keep up with his general medical skills. Eric is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Eric works closely with Dr. Gelfand in our Annapolis and Odenton offices. He treats new patients, assists with history and physicals, performs post-ops and follow-up evaluations, and assists in surgeries. Fun fact, Eric previously worked here as an ortho tech before attending PA school in 2000.

Eric enjoys spending his free time with his wife, 2 children, and his dog Lilly.
